Corporate Intellectual Property Roundtable
About
The Corporate IP Roundtable is an exclusive forum for in-house IP counsel and corporate IP professionals to exchange ideas, share best practices, and build relationships with peers facing similar challenges.
What the Roundtable Offers
Peer-to-Peer Discussion: The Roundtable brings together corporate IP professionals in a closed setting, free from outside sales pressure. Conversations focus on the practical realities of managing IP portfolios, working with outside counsel, and aligning IP strategy with business objectives. These discussions are held under a code of confidentiality to allow members to speak candidly about challenges without concern.
Curated Programming: Roundtable events may include targeted presentations on emerging issues in IP law and practice. Topics are selected based on member interest and delivered by practitioners with direct experience. Programming may feature presentations by experienced practitioners and thought leaders on subjects such as the use of technology and artificial intelligence in IP practice, IP monetization strategies, and other topics at the intersection of innovation and intellectual property management.
Annual Events: Members participate in at least two marquee events each year, including the Spring Kickoff and the Fall Networking Event. Both events combine substantive programming with informal networking time. The Fall event typically includes a tour of a local company, offering members a behind-the-scenes look at the host’s operations and IP strategy. Last year, members toured Tyler Perry Studios. Additional events may be offered throughout the year, including virtual roundtables, practitioner-led presentations, and social gatherings designed to strengthen peer connections. As a thank you for their support of GIPA, each General Sponsor may designate up to two representatives to attend the annual in-person events, giving members an opportunity to connect with firms and service providers that are invested in the corporate IP community.
CIPI Conference Discount: Roundtable members receive two free passes to Corporate IP Institute’s annual conference, which offers 9 CLE hours, enough to satisfy the annualized rate under Georgia’s new 18-hour biennial requirement, and draws corporate counsel from across Georgia and beyond.
Access to GIPA’s Broader Network: Membership connects you to GIPA’s full ecosystem, including law firm sponsors, startup incubators, and community initiatives. These connections can surface outside counsel options, partnership opportunities, and early visibility into emerging companies.
