Governor Kemp Renews Recognition of October as Intellectual Property Month in Georgia

Georgia Intellectual Property Alliance® (GIPA) thanks Governor Brian P. Kemp for again proclaiming October as Intellectual Property Month in Georgia.

The 2026 proclamation recognizes the role intellectual property plays in supporting investment in knowledge, innovation, and invention—and the partnerships among creators, protectors, and enablers that strengthen Georgia’s IP ecosystem.

For GIPA, this recognition reinforces our shared purpose: to help people understand, protect, and put their ideas to work. From students and entrepreneurs to artists, researchers, and businesses, greater access to IP education and resources helps turn creativity into opportunity.

The proclamation also recognizes GIPA and fellow organizations that support Georgia’s leadership in intellectual property, along with programs this fall that bring our community together for professional education, recognition, and service.

Thank you to our partners, program leaders, and volunteers for making this work possible. We invite you to join us throughout October and beyond as we advance intellectual property education, collaboration, and opportunity across Georgia
