Understanding the Trends Shaping Georgia's Future
Katie Duvall opened the program with an overview of the Georgia Chamber's Georgia|2050 initiative, a long-range strategic plan examining the demographic, workforce, and economic trends expected to influence the state over the next 25 years.
Leanna Brown followed with an update on legislative and business climate initiatives impacting Georgia's competitiveness and ability to attract investment, talent, and business growth throughout the region.
Strengthening Georgia's Entrepreneurial Ecosystem
Allen Fox provided an overview of Georgia's entrepreneurial ecosystem and the state's efforts to support startups, small businesses, and innovation-driven enterprises. His remarks emphasized the importance of collaboration among government, educational institutions, economic development organizations, and private-sector partners to help entrepreneurs launch, grow, and scale successful businesses.
The Growing Importance of Georgia's Creative Economy
David Sutherland shared insights into the growing role of the creative economy as a driver of economic development, talent attraction, entrepreneurship, and community vitality. His presentation highlighted how creativity, innovation, technology, and culture increasingly intersect to create new opportunities for economic growth and quality of life throughout Georgia.
John Avery concluded the program with an overview of ATDC's role in supporting Georgia's startup ecosystem and innovation economy. Attendees also had the opportunity to tour ATDC and learn more about the resources available to emerging companies across the state.
