On October 17, 2019, approximately 300 people in the Georgia community came together in the Egyptian Ballroom of the Fox Theater to celebrate the amazing work that hundreds of people are doing to help the state bring intellectual property awareness, education, collaboration, and impact to its citizens.

The Georgia Intellectual Property Alliance Board Strategic Retreat took place on November 7, 2019. It was a futuristic boost to have so many engaged leaders intent on improving the benefits from IP to their Georgia ecosystem constituents, programs, and perspectives.

What do a world-famous entertainer, the executive producer of a hit television show, and the top executive at a major film studio have in common? On November 16, 2019 they (and others) influenced students, creatives and attorneys at the Intellectual Property Masterclass hosted by the Entertainment, Sports and Media Law Initiative (ESML) and the Creative Media Industries Institute (CMII).

GIPA was kindly provided time on the agenda at the Technology Student Association (TSA) of GA’s annual event at Jekyll Island. TSA is a national student organization created to develop skills in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) as well as business education. The organization has 250,000 members.

The Georgia Intellectual Property Alliance thanks Governor Brian Kemp for his recent IP Proclamation for IP Month in Georgia. October 2019 represents the second consecutive year in which October was IP Month in Georgia.
